Community

“It is not just the practical life in a house, cleaning rooms, watering plants, etc., that is important, but the fact that everyone in the world must move with a purpose and must work, not only for himself, but also for others.” - Maria Montessori

The Brisbane Montessori community has a strong network of parents, friends, aunties, uncles, siblings, and alumni. Our volunteer network exemplifies the keen interest our families have in furthering our school's potential and student's futures.

We believe that support comes in many forms. From skills to time, donations and beyond, here are some of the ways you can help:

  1. Lend skills, time, or donations to events like the Children's House Fun Day, in-class readings, Open Day, or P and F fundraising events like their Wednesday and Friday Café, trivia nights, or World Teacher's Day (to name a few), or Montessori Model United Nations fundraising efforts
  2. Build our Reconciliation Action Plan Group and their progress within the BMS community
  3. Act as a Parent Representative to connect classes and community, or help teachers with scheduled 'goings out' events

Volunteering and lending time are integral to the day-to-day functioning of our community and our students will continue to benefit from the rewards of your efforts for decades to come.
