Rebecca Bridge
Bec Bridge is a proud Murrawarri woman and a passionate advocate for the rights of children. She has been part of Brisbane Montessori School since 2019, working as a Guide and mentor in the Montessori Independent Toddler Communities.
Bec started her career as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Educational Liaison Officer, working across primary and secondary schools before moving into Special Education supporting children from 5 to 17 years of age. She discovered the Montessori Education when searching for care for her daughter in 2008 and booking in for her first observation.
“What I observed that day changed my life forever. I could not believe the calmness, joy, and concentration I witnessed from young children. I left with a place for my daughter, and a job for myself”.
Bec holds a Diploma in Early Childhood, AMI 0-3 Diploma and is currently an AMI 0-3 trainer-in-training while finishing her Bachelor of Early Childhood. She has held various Leadership roles in Montessori Early Education and Care settings including Director and Montessori Educational Leader and Mentor.
