A Little Bit About

Brisbane Montessori School

Here at Brisbane Montessori School (BMS), we endeavour to foster independent, accountable students that are well-balanced and academically minded global citizens.

Our campus, classrooms, and community are visualisations of the commitment we have to making the student-led educational experience one that is naturally engaging, sustainable, and progressive. The patient and peaceful pedagogy of Dr Maria Montessori guides our mission, values, and ethos, and is one we all take pride in sharing and continually learning, both as students and adults.

Learning for life.

At our core, we seek to embody the very essence of what a school should be:

• a vibrant community of students who are excited to learn
• natural green, open spaces that are good for the soul
• bright classrooms full of practical tools
• innovative and proven teaching methodologies
• engaged, dedicated, and encouraging teachers, and
• stimulating, challenging, and student-centric curriculum.

Brisbane Montessori School is the only school in Brisbane offering a 15 months to 16 years Montessori education. Excitingly, the release of our 2023 Master Plan means we will soon be able to offer a complete Montessori education, including adult Montessori courses. You can view our new Master Plan here.

Take a walk through our website and our campus to develop a true understanding of the lasting impact of an education at BMS.

A Brighter Future For All

Acknowledging Country

Brisbane Montessori School acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands that our school resides on, the Jagera, Yagerra, and Turrbal peoples, and we extend this to all Traditional Custodians across Australia. We pay our respect to Elders past, present, and future. We acknowledge their continuing connection to the land, air, and waterways, for they hold the memories, the knowledge, and the dreams of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

May we walk gently and respectfully together.
